  Stadium Policies  

The information presented below is to help answer some questions you may have and hopefully help you safely enjoy the game:

 

Gates will open one hour before kick-off for the 2009 Football Season

 

For the safety and comfort of all fans and visitors, the following items will not be permitted into the venue: Alcohol, food and beverages, pets, laser pointers, weapons, fireworks, bottles/containers, umbrellas, coolers/ice chests, signs/banners, and strollers.  There is no check-in area for disallowed items, so please leave them in your car.

Unauthorized individuals are not permitted in restricted areas of the Sun Bowl Stadium before, during or after an event.  The restricted areas include but are not limited to the field, floor, locker rooms and offices.  Violators are subject to criminal sanctions and/or the University's disciplinary processes.

All patrons are subject to search and/or wanding by security personnel.security personnel, employees and performers are not responsible for any items or personal property voluntarily surrendered during search procedures at the entrance


  • Bag Policy/Security - Bags of reasonable size (as determined by event staff) will be allowed into the stadium, however, all bags, including purses, will be subject to search upon entrance to the stadium.  Fans who leave the stadium will have their bags searched upon re-entry.
  • Banners/Signs - Banners and signs are not allowed into the stadium.
  • Cameras - cameras are allowed into the stadium.
  • Cash - There are 2 ATM's in the Sun bowl Stadium.  They are located on the lower concourse level in front of sections 13 and 23.
  • Concessions - Food items are available for purchase throughout the concourse with cash, credit cards, and debit cards. Checks are not accepted.
  • Elevators - There are no elevators located in the stadium seating areas.
  • Field Admittance - Only team personnel, credentialed media and event management staff are authorized to be on the field before, during or after the game.  Persons under the age of 18 years old will not be allowed on the field.  Anyone going onto the field without proper authorization is subject to expulsion from the stadium and could face prosecution.  This also applies to anyone throwing objects onto the field or in the stands.
  • First Aid - Emergency assistance is available on the lower concourse level in front of sections 10 and 23.
  • Glass - Glass items are not allowed on Campus.
  • Language/Sportsmanship - Any person using foul or abusive language could be asked to leave the stadium and could face prosecution.  This also applies to anyone throwing objects onto the field or in the stands.
  • Lost and Found - Lost and found is located on the lower concourse level in the Police Room located on the east side of the stadium in front of section 23.  During the week call the UTEP Police Department at 915-747-6635 or 915-747-6338.
  • Lost Children /Persons - Parents and/or guardians with a lost child/person should contact the nearest law enforcement officer or event staff member.  Lost children/persons will be taken to the Police Room located on the east side of the stadium in front of section 23.
  • Public Address - No appeals will be made over the public address system unless exceptional circumstances prevail.  Contact security for more information.
  • Re-Entry - There is limited Re-entry with your torn ticket stub and a stamp.  Please ask a gate attendant for assistance.
  • Restrooms - Restrooms are located through out the stadium on both the upper and lower concourse levels.  Port-a-pottys are also located throughout out the campus in the parking areas.
  • Seating - Sections 10 through 17 are for End Zone-General Admission fans. Family Pack Sections are 25 and 26, and Student seating is located in sections 18 through 21. All other seating areas are reserved for numbered ticket holders.
  • Stadium Seats - Stadium seats 18 inches and smaller are allowed into the venue.  Stadium seats larger than 18 inches are strictly prohibited and will not be allowed in the venue.
  • Smoking - The UTEP Sun bowl Stadium prohibits smoking in all seating areas and aisleways.  Please be respectful of the people next to you.  Patrons must leave the stadium to smoke.
  • Strollers - Strollers are prohibited in the venue and will not be allowed
