  Tailgating Policies  

All Miner Fans are free to tailgate in venue parking lots, but they cannot reserve spaces and are limited to one parking space per vehicle, due to limited availability.  Patrons should tailgate directly in front of or behind their vehicle.  Tailgate space will be limited so that vehicle traffic will not be obstructed.  Tailgating will cease at the end of the 1st quarter with all participants required to enter the stadium or leave university property at this time.  One person will be allowed to stay with the larger tailgates to keep belongings safe.  All fans must leave university property one hour after the conclusion of the game.   Please note: there will be charcoal dumping areas in each lot.  Dumping of charcoal in the parking lots or on the University campus is prohibited.  For specific inquiries regarding tailgating, please contact the Miner Athletic Club at (915) 747-8759.   

  • No overnight tailgating will be allowed on the University Property, with the exception of RV Lot.   See RV Parking
  • The University Inner Campus is open to tailgating starting at 12 noon  - (Saturday Game Days).  No tailgating or tailgating set-up on Inner Campus prior to 12 noon.
  • Beer Kegs are not allowed on the University Property.
  • Weapons are also not allowed on any part of the University Property.
  • Individuals of legal age - 21 or older - may consume alcohol beverages in the parking lots in accordance with University Policy and State Law.  Consumption of alcohol by minors is illegal, it is also illegal to provide alcohol to minors.
  • The University of Texas at El Paso Police Department reminds all fans to not drink and drive.  Please choose a designated driver before you consume any alcoholic beverages.
  Prohibited Items in Parking Areas  

The following items are not allowed in the stadium parking lots unless approved in advance by the University.

  • No advertising vehicles or signs.
  • No political campaigning, distribution of materials or selling of raffles on University Property.
  • No live bands, public address systems or excessively loud stereo systems.
  • No apparel, souvenirs, food or beverage may be sold.
